Yaay me!

Yaay me!
I went for a run...woohoo!!
Haha. Was a good run for not quite half an hour. It seemed pretty long though, went around the block, up Field St, then Crimea, then Morley Drive, then down a side street, went to the park, Ezra had a play on the swing which he looooved, played in the sand, then ran back home.
I feel pretty good about myself right now.
OK now I just have to stretch again and jump in the shower while Ezra is playing in the lounge.
Then hopefully he'll want a nap.!

So unmotivated!

As I predicted last night, my plan to go for a run this morning didn't happen!!
I was up until 11.45pm playing this Create A Mall game, not even realising the time, and then woke up at 6.20am, early still, but not enough to go for a run as Daniel had to get up soon to get ready for work. Aah well, I'll try go for a walk with Ezra in his pram today. It's so hot today though and he gets really hot lying in his pram. Maybe I should go soon while it's still a bit cooler. At the moment it is 8.35am. Ezra is in the lounge playing with his Koro.
OK, I think I'll do it....We will go for a walk now...
Oh yeah, I weighed myself this morning for our challenge, and my starting weight is......61.6kg. Pretty good I think, I'm pretty happy with that weight though. I'll just work out to tone up I think.

Time to get rid of the muffin top!!

From tomorrow some of the ladies from my playgroup and me are going to start working on getting rid of our muffin tops. Yaay!!
So in the morning, we will all weigh ourselves (at our own houses) and that will be our starting weight. And then every Thursday morning after that we will weigh ourselves to see how much weight we've lost. We will be doing this for 3 months so we can have sexy summer body's again! We don't need to tell eachother how much we weigh though, just our weight loss percentage for the week. A Biggest Loser type challenge.
Faye geniusly thought this plan up, and I love it!
If we want we can pay a $20 entry fee, and each month, the winner will receive 15% of the total money, then at the end, the winner will receive the remaining 55%. Awesome!!

I'm thinking that I'll probably go hard for the first week or so, then not much after that, but lets hope that doesn't come true.

OK, so my first plan of attack is: I'll wake up at 6am, weigh myself, then go for a run for half an hour leaving Ezra with Daniel, and be back before Daniel needs to get up to get ready for work at about 6.30, 6.45am.
Well that's the plan now, lets just see if it happens, lol.

Eating wise, I'm pretty OK with my eating habits. But I do eat about 2 big blocks of chocolate a week. Maybe I'll cut down to one, but probably not. I love chocolate.

Areas that I want to be better are my stomach, thighs, butt and arms. Haha that's pretty much everything. I'm not over weight though, just have extra baby fat. I loved my body before pregnancy, so I'll just try to get back to that.
I'll get Daniel to take a photo of me tonight and put it up, maybe? That sounds weird, and I've got stretch marks!! Oh well, just have to live with it. If you don't want to be shocked, please skip the next post!!

Ezra is teething

Ezra has his first tooth in already and I didn't notice one bit of grizzling because of it.
Now for the past couple of days he has been so grumpy and grizzly which is not him at all. He's usually never grumpy unless he's tired or really hungry.
So therefore, I have concluded that he is teething, only this time it's hurting him. I have felt his gum and I think I can feel something trying to come up there next to his other tooth which is on the bottom.
My poor baby...he does like chewing everything though, especially cardboard and paper, lol.
And he just loves to bite my boob when I'm feeding him. I think I
I'lll put him on formula soon, once I find the right one for him. I've tried two different ones so far and he spews it back out about an hour later.

It wasn't my fault!

OK, so I called one of my girlfriends yesterday who works at the Princess Margaret Hospital here in Perth (childrens hospital), and she reconfirmed my original theory, that alcohol does disappear from your milk after 2 - 3 hours. So I didn't make Ezra get the rash on his face or spew up his breakfast.
PHEW! That took some weight off my shoulders...

Back from holiday

Well we are now back from our long weekend holiday.
We went to Moore River, Guilderton for 3 nights. The sun was shining all weekend until today, but that's ok as we were just coming home anyway.
We had a good relaxing time by the river and beach, even though our holiday home we rented was a bit old and daggy.
Ezra was a good boy the whole weekend, except at bed time... We had taken his porta-cot as we had planned for him to sleep in one room and we sleep in the other, but that didn't work out too well...I didn't want him sleeping in the room all by himself as I didn't like the feeling of the house...so we all slept in the lounge together.
Even then, I tried to get him to sleep in his cot but he just wasn't having it. At home he sleeps in his cot in his own room, from 7pm to 6am usually with no problem. I guess a different place, different environment was sitting well with him. And he had Daniel and me in the same room as him watching movies where as he's used to his room being quiet, so we didn't help the cause either. He stayed in his cot for a couple hours though, but we ended up putting him in bed with us just to save the stress.

We went down to the beach on Saturday, was Ezra's first time. He absolutely loved it. We didn't go swimming but he loved seeing all the new things. And he loved the sand! He didn't eat it but he just liked touching it and squishing it and trying to dig it up with his little spade. Was such a delight to watch him explore.
We did get photos of him on Daniels phone but it's decided it doesn't want to connect to the computer any more. So we'll have to try on his mums computer with his memory card...Will update...

Ezra swung on the swing for his first time too. He really loved it. He could swing back and forth and get closer than further from mummy in one fluid movement, it is such a joy watching your baby discover things.
Will update with a video...

On Sunday it was super hot, the sun was so strong, it was a burning sun though, not a nice this is the life sun.
In the morning me and Ezra decided we'll go for a walk and play on the swing. So we set off and next to the playground is the Guilderton Country Club and the town hall. At the town hall they were holding a family fun day thing. They had a bouncy castle, a little train ride, arts, crafts and some vintage cars were on display. It was pretty busy even though Moore River is a little town. Lots of holidayers there for the Queens Birthday weekend.

When we got back to the house, I stripped Ezra's clothes off as he was starting to sweat, and then I notice there's this unsightly rash forming on his chin and under his eyes. I am so sure I didn't give him anything new to eat and even now I have no idea what caused it. Maybe it was the sun??? It stayed on his face all day, but he wasn't bothered about it so I just left it and the next morning it was gone.
Actually, come to think of it, even Sunday morning he was looking a little bit sick...and Saturday night I drunk I think 2 or 3 glasses of wine...and he did spew up some of his breakfast....hmmmm.......OK, I'm thinking it was my fault now.......but I thought alcohol goes out of your breastmilk after 2 hours.......and it was 10 hours from when I had my last drink and I fed him. But anywho....I am now thinking it's my fault. It's funny how you don't realise things until after you've written them down.
Before anyone says "bad mother!", just know that that was the most I've ever drunk since falling pregnant with Ezra, and only on two other occasions have I drunk alcohol since Ezra has been born, the first one, was 1 glass of Jim Beam & Coke...and I had pumped so gave him that instead of feeding him...and the second time was last Saturday and was a quarter glass of wine when I went out for dinner in which he was asleep when I got home and didn't need to feed him till 6 the next morning.
